Chastre ( Walloon Tchåsse ) is a commune in the French-speaking province of Walloon Brabant in Belgium. It consists of seven districts: Blanmont, Chastre, Cortil Noir Mont, Gentinnes, Saint- Gery and Villeroux.

The name Chastre derives from the Latin castrum ( fortified camp ).

In Chastre the pianist and composer Séverin Moisse was born in 1895.
