Chichester (District)
Chichester is a District in the county of West Sussex in England. Administrative center is the city of Chichester; significant sights are Midhurst, Fishbourne and Selsey. The city law and the privileges of the City of Chichester apply only to an area of approximately 10.6 km ².
The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the Municipal Borough of Chichester, the Rural Districts Midhurst and PetworthRural as well and part of the Rural District Chichester.
