Mid Sussex

Mid Sussex is a District in the county of West Sussex in England. Council is based in Haywards Heath; significant sights are Ardingly, Ashurst Wood, Balcombe, Bolney, Burgess Hill, Cuckfield, East Grinstead, Horsted Keynes, Lindfield and Turners Hill.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the urban districts Cuckfield, Burgess Hill and East Grinstead, and a large part of Cuckfield Rural District. These areas were previously on East Sussex.
