Geography
Chörau is located in the district of Anhalt -Bitterfeld west of Dessau on the edge of the Biosphere Reserve Middle Elbe.
History
On January 1, 2010, the formerly independent communities Chörau, Zabitz, Diebzig, Dornbock, Drosa, Elsnigk, Großpaschleben, Kleinpaschleben, Libbesdorf, Micheln, Osternienburg, Reppichau, Trinum and Wulfen merged to form a unified community Osternienburger country together. At the same time the management of Community Osternienburg, which included these communities was dissolved.
