Chris Anker Sørensen ( born September 5, 1984) is a Danish cyclist. He is 1.85 meters tall, his racing weight is 64 kilograms. He is strong, especially in the high mountains.

Chris Anker Sørensen began his cycling career in 1997 and ran from 1998 for the local club of mutton. The following year he was first selektionniert also for the Danish junior national team. After it due to health problems hardly race had been able to deny in 2003, he wrote in 2005 at the Danish Continental Team Designa Køkken. In his first year there he won a stage of the Ringerike Grand Prix and the Tour de Horsens for themselves. End of the year he drove for CSC as a stagiaire. However, he did not get a professional contract and ran again in 2006 for Designa Køkken. However, since the 2007 season, he takes in the CSC Dress (now Team Saxo Bank ) on the UCI ProTour part. In Germany Tour 2007, he finished sixth in the overall standings. In the Tour of Austria 2008, he won the second stage, was for one day of the yellow jersey and finished second in the overall standings to fourth place. In the same year the Dane won the penultimate stage of the Dauphiné Libéré. In the 2009 season Sørensen played his first Tour de France and was always placed up to today in following the France - tours of his team. At the Giro d'Italia 2010, he achieved his greatest success up to that point, when he won the uphill finish of Stage 8 in Terminillo for themselves.

His 2012 season began in February Sørensen in the Mediterranean tour, in which he replaced the diseased Volodymyr Gustov in the squad Saxo Bank shortly. For the Danes, this was also the return after a fall and the following three-week break from training in December 2011. However, in the decision for the overall victory, he could not intervene at the mountaintop finish of the final stage and finished the Tour, finishing 40th
