Chris Clark (ice hockey)

Chris Clark ( born March 8, 1976 in Manchester, Connecticut ) is an American professional ice hockey player who played for the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League since November 2011.

Career

The 1.81 m wide winger began his career in the team of Clarkson University in the play mode of the National Collegiate Athletic Association before he selected at the NHL Entry Draft in 1994 as 77th in the third round by the Calgary Flames ( drafted ) was.

After he was first employed in the farm team Saint John Flames of the American Hockey League, graduated from the right shooter in the season 1999/ 00 his first NHL games for Calgary. For the Flames Clark stood five seasons long on the ice, in his last season in Canada, he reached with the team even the Stanley Cup Finals, which however has been lost with three to four games against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

After the lockout season 2004/ 05, who spent the Americans at SC Bern in the Swiss National League A and at the Storhamar Dragons in Norway, Chris Clark changed on 4 August 2005 as a free agent with the Washington Capitals. As of January 2006, he was standing next to Alexander Ovechkin in the first row of the storm Capitals, on 13 September, he was named the new captain of the capital city. After the striker was followed in the seasons 2007/ 08 and 2008/ 09 injury problems, he was finally able to play again without problems in the season 2009/10. After the season 2010/11 the Americans did not get a new contract with the Blue Jackets. Finally, Clark moved in early November 2011 on tryout basis to the Providence Bruins in the AHL.
