Clock port

The clock port of the Amiga 1200, was originally intended to be a real -time clock record, the battery powered continues to run even when the computer with battery.

However, since this feature was already installed on all processor cards in the Amiga 1200, it has rarely been realized. Lack of internal slots in the keyboard housings of the Amiga 1200, this interface used by resourceful developers for special serial cards, USB cards and sound cards. Later they went one step further and built " clockports " internal cards for the Amiga 600, 2000, 3000 and 4000. Thus, these extensions could be used, without taking up more additional internal slots.
