Colomi Municipality

The municipality Colomi is a district in the department of Cochabamba in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Location in near space

The municipality Colomi is one of three Municipalities of the province of Chapare. It is bordered to the west and south by the municipality of Sacaba, on the southeast by the province Tiraque, and in the north east and north by the municipality of Villa Tunari.

The central location of the municipality is the city Colomi country with 3,699 inhabitants ( 2001 census ) in the central part of the district.

Geography

The municipality comprises Colomi one of the high valleys of the Bolivian Cordillera Oriental halfway between the Altiplano in the west and the Chapare lowlands to the east.
