Communist Party (Flanders)

The Communist Party ( hook size: Communist Partij, KP ) was a political party in the Flemish part of Belgium. It was built in 1989 next to the Walloon Parti Communiste from cleavage of the Communist Party of Belgium. National Secretary was Jaak Perquy.

The Communist Party gave up the newspaper Agora.

In December 2009, the Communist Party presented its activities as a party and considered since then as a think tank. The remaining CP members have since been organized in the bilingual Brussels section of the Parti Communiste, the fact was that way back to a unitary party.

By the end of 2013, the Communist Partij was further performed as a member of the European Left Party.
