CS Pétange

The Club Sportif Petingen is a Luxembourgian football club.

History

The club was founded in 1910 under its current name. During the German occupation of Luxembourg, the club was called from 1940 FP 08 Petingen. Since 1944 he again bears the name CS Pétange.

Achievements

Twice reach the Club Sportif the Luxembourg Cup final. In 1992 he was defeated 0-1 against Avenir Beggen. 2005 Petingen won by a 5-0 win over FC CeBra 01 the Luxembourg Cup.

By winning the cup Petingen CS participated in the 2004/2005 season for the first time participate in the club's history to the main round of a European competition. In qualifying for the UEFA Cup the team retired with a 1-1 and 0-3 against AC Allianssi from Finland in the first round.
