Cuba at the 1960 Summer Olympics

Cuba participated in the Summer Olympics in 1960 in Rome, Italy, part of a delegation of twelve athletes ( nine men and three women) in 15 competitions in eight sports. There were no medals are won. The youngest athlete was the gymnast Julia Uria (16 years and 220 days), the oldest athlete was the fencer Abelardo Menendez (32 years and one day). It was the ninth participation in the Olympic Summer Games for the country. Standard-bearer was the wrestler José Yañez.
