Cuba at the 1956 Summer Olympics

Cuba participated in the Olympic Summer Games 1956 in Melbourne, Australia part of a delegation of 16 athletes (15 men and one woman) in 16 competitions in five sports. There were no medals to be won. The youngest athlete was the float Raul Martin (15 years and 152 days), the oldest athlete was the sailor Carlos de Cárdenas Culmell (52 years and 330 days). It was the eighth part of the country at the Olympic Summer Games. Standard-bearer was the float Manuel Sanguily.
