Nigeria at the 1956 Summer Olympics

Nigeria participated in the Olympic Summer Games 1956 in Melbourne, Australia with a delegation of ten athletes (all men) in six competitions in one sport ( athletics) part. There were no medals to be won. The youngest athlete was the sprinter Abdul Karim Amu (23 years and 16 days), the oldest athlete was the long jumper Karim Olowu (32 years and 171 days). It was the second participation of the country in the Olympic Summer Games.
