Dacian Şerban Varga (* October 15, 1984 in Petrosani ) is a Romanian football player. He's since the summer of 2003 at Sportul Studenţesc under contract.
Career
Association
The career of Varga began in 2003 at the capital club Sportul Studenţesc in Divizia B. At the end of the season he got his team on the Divizia A. There he came in the first year only a few missions, was in the 2005 /06, however, an integral part of the team. At the end of the season the team was in fourth place and just missed qualifying for the UEFA Cup, but had to descend due to tax debts. Varga remained faithful Sportul deeper league, but missed in the two following seasons the resurgence.
During the winter break of 2008/ 09 Varga was loaned to the first division club Unirea Urziceni. This proved to be for him as a godsend, because with Unirea he could win the championship in 2009. Subsequently, the lending was extended by half a year, but Varga came in the first round in 2009/10 only a few missions. During the winter break, he moved on loan to league rival Rapid Bucharest, but was used there only once.
In summer 2010, Varga finally returned to Sportul, which was now risen to the League 1. For winter break, although he had already made seven gates, stood with his club but on the bottom of the table. This agreed a lending transaction with the Russian first division side FC Kuban Krasnodar. There he was able to qualify for the Champions round. At the beginning of 2012 he returned to Sportul back, however, came in the second half of 2011/12 to no use and could not prevent the descent of his team. In summer 2012, Varga was loaned for six months to FC Vaslui.
National
Varga made his debut on 11 February 2009 at the jersey of the Romanian national team, when he came off the bench in a friendly against Croatia in the 87th minute for Ciprian Marica. In October 2009, Razvan Lucescu coach nominated him again for his squad. In World Cup qualifying match against Serbia, he was in the starting lineup. Then it took two years before he was re-appointed in November 2011.
