Damián Macaluso
Damián Macaluso ( born March 9, 1980 in Montevideo) is a Uruguayan - Italian football player at the position of the defender.
Association
Macaluso began his professional career in 1997 with the Uruguayan second division Central Español FC. There, he played 20 games in which he scored three goals. In January 1999 he joined the Racing Club de Montevideo. Here, he played 21 games (1 goal ) before then in the same year moved to Italian second division club Sampdoria. But there played a single game. In 2000 he was committed by the Italian third division side Calcio Catania. But he was used only seven times. Therefore, he returned in January 2001 back to CA Bella Vista, in whose ranks he stood up to the end of the following year. In early 2003 he moved to the Apertura to his old club Central Español, who had since been promoted to the first division. There, he played only five games. After an interim period from 2003 to 2004 when Guatemalan club Coban Imperial, in 2004 he joined back in the second Italian league for SSC Venice. For the first time, he managed to work his way up in a European club team regular, he played all 31 games for the SSC. Nevertheless, he left at the end of the season the club in the direction of SS Sambenedettese Calcio in the third division. There he played in the coming season 2005/ 06 of 20 games, the first time in Europe he also succeeded in a goal. In 2006, when the French first division club AS Nancy became aware of him, he said to. For Nancy, he played a total of 68 league games. Of these, 59 games ( four goals) Erstligaeinsätze, the remaining games he completed for the reserve. 2010 signed Damián Macaluso the Mexican second division side CD Vera Cruz a three year contract, but switched after the Clausura 2011 and 27 completed games ( two goals) on loan for one season after Argentina Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata. There he made his debut in the League at the 1:2 home defeat against Atlanta on October 1, 2011. Overall, it was used in 23 matches (one goal ). On June 29, 2012 Peñarol confirmed the commitment Macalusos for next season. In the 2012/13 season, he ran 18 times for Aurinegros on and scored a goal. He also met twice in the Copa Libertadores for use (no gate). At the end of the season he won the championship with Peñarol. In the Copa Sudamericana in 2013 he came in two matches against Cobreloa used as excreting Montevideaner in the first round of the competition. His most recent league application dated 17 August 2013. During the current season 2013/14 he completed thus far a game (no gate).
National
In 1999, Macaluso with the Uruguayan U -20 team at both the U-20 South American Championship and at the World Junior Championships in Nigeria and took part there the second and fourth.
