Daniel Beichler in 2009

Daniel Beichler ( born October 13, 1988 in Graz) is an Austrian football player at the position of midfielder. Since 2013 he plays for SK Sturm Graz.

Career

Club career

Beichler began his football career while still a child at SV Gram Bach. In 1995 he moved already in the U -8 youth team of SK Sturm Graz. In the season 2006/ 07 Beichler played on loan at Reggina Calcio in Italy, arrived there but to no Series A use. 2007 brought him back to the SK Sturm Graz. His debut in the Austrian Bundesliga was Beichler 24 November 2007 against SC Rheindorf Altach. He came on in the 86th minute for Mario Haas and scored shortly after his first Bundesliga goal. On 19 July 2010 Beichler signed at the German Bundesliga relegated Hertha BSC a four- year contract. In the latter club he is yet to use because of various injuries. During the winter break of the 2010/11 season he moved on loan to FC St. Gallen.

With the start of the 2011/12 season Beichler was lent by his original club Hertha BSC for a year to MSV Duisburg in the 2nd Bundesliga. Of the loan contract was redissolved Already 29 August 2011 and Beichler moved again on loan from Hertha BSC to SV Ried. For the 2012/13 season Beichler returned to Hertha BSC.

End of January 2013 Beichler was loaned to the end of season 2012/13 to the league rivals SV Sandhausen to collect more match practice.

For the 2013/14 season Beichler returned to SK Sturm Graz. He signed a two-year contract until 30 June 2015 with an option for another year.

Internationally

International played Beichler six U-19 caps for Austria, scoring two goals. He also took part in the U-19 Football Championship in 2007 in their own country. In the match against Greece, he managed to balance the penalty spot. Austria difference in the first round of the group last. In addition Beichler graduated four games for Austria's U -20 team. At two other inserts and a hit he came for the U- 21 team in his home country. On 18 March 2009 he was first called up to the squad of the national team for the World Cup qualifier against Romania, where he came from kick-off game on 1 April 2009 for his first A- team in action.
