Dare Vršič

Dare Vršič ( born September 26, 1984) is a Slovenian football player. The attacking midfielder has since the summer of 2012 at the Austrian club FK Austria Wien under contract.

Sports career

Vršič began his career at Mura Murska Sobota, for whom he played from 2001 two years in the Slovenska Nogometna league. He then moved on to NK Celje, in which, with eight goals this season he was on the side of Mitja Brulc, Robert Koren and Dragan Čadikovski first time his goal threat. Nevertheless, the team had missed as seventh in the regular round of the championship round. Successfully in the following season with six goals, took the club to second place this time. In the championship finals, ultimately pulled over yet NK Domžale and the team pulled in third place in the European Cup.

In the summer of 2005 Vršič left his homeland and hired the Slovak club MŠK Žilina. Here he distinguished himself as a prolific offensive player and won with the club in 2007 the national championship. On the one hand, therefore, followed in 2007, the first appointments to the Slovenian national team and on the other hand, he was hired away after two seasons by the Romanian side FC Timişoara. There he came only sporadically used, in the second half of the season 2009/ 10, it was therefore awarded to FC Koper in his home country. As a regular scorer until the end of the season he was involved on the side of Miran Pavlin, Dalibor Radujko and Nebojša Kovačevič instrumental in the championship win. He played in the 30 -man preliminary squad by national coach Matjaž Kek before the World Cup 2010, but had already leave as one of the first back together with goalkeeper January Koprivec defender Aleksandar Rajčević and striker Miran Burgič.

After Vršič after his return to Romania was further supplementing player, he returned in early 2011 back to Slovenia. In NK Olimpija Ljubljana he was charged with 22 goals in the season 2011/12 top scorer in the league and thus led the club to second place in the table. Then he tried again abroad and joined the FK Austria Wien in Austria's capital, and was at the end of the season Austrian champion.
