Darren Rumble (ice hockey)

Darren W. Rumble ( born January 23, 1969 in Barrie, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who played in the NHL for the Philadelphia Flyers, the Ottawa Senators, St. Louis Blues, as well as for the Tampa Bay Lightning. In the DEL he was active for the Adler Mannheim.

Playing career

The 1.83 m tall defender started his career with the Kitchener Rangers in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League before he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1987 as 20th in the first round by the Philadelphia Flyers.

First, the left gunner at the Hershey Bears, a Flyers farm team in the American Hockey League, was used. In the 1990/91 season Rumble then completed his first appearances in the highest North American professional league for Philadelphia, he was finally transferred to the Ottawa Senators in 1992. In his home Rumble became a regular player, but came back after two seasons in the United States, where he again played for the Philadelphia Flyers. 1997 Darren Rumble wrote a contract with the Adler Mannheim, but still during the current season of Canadians moved back to North America where he played for the San Antonio Dragons in the International Hockey League. From now on, Rumble was for tiefklassigere Minor teams active in the seasons 2000/ 01, 2002 /03 and 2003/ 04, however, he was again in 36 games for the St. Louis Blues and Tampa Bay Lightning in the NHL on the Ice. His career ended Darren Rumble 2005 to the Springfield Falcons of the AHL.
