Darron Thomas Daniel Gibson ( born October 25, 1987 in Derry ) is an Irish footballer who plays mainly in the midfield and is under contract at Everton. Born in Northern Ireland Derry Gibson was the cause of a dispute between the Football Association of Ireland and the Irish Football Association after he had opted for Ireland and not to play for his native Northern Ireland. Career

From his youth club Institute FC Gibson moved to Manchester United in 2004, his debut for Manchester was Gibson in the League Cup against Barnet on 26 October 2005, when he came on for Lee Martin.
