Datsik (musician)

Datsik ( Troy Beetles real name, born June 9, 1988 in Kelowna, British Columbia) is a Canadian DJ and music producer in the styles of Dubstep, Drum & Bass, Electro House and Hip- Hop. In 2012, he released his debut album, Vitamin D. He stands at Firepower Records, his own label, Dim Mak Records, Rottun Recordings, the label of excision, under contract. He has performed, among others, already at Coachella and the Ultra Music Festival.

Career

After Beetles in 2008 was present at a concert of excision, he began himself to produce electronic music. In 2009 he released his first single Retreat, which could reach the top position of the Beatport Dubstep charts. 2009 and 2010, he succeeded in having more songs to reach number one. He collaborated with artists and bands from now on as Wu -Tang Clan and The Crystal Method.

January 2012 founded his own label Datsik Firepower Records. There he took, among others, Delta Heavy and xKore under contract. In the same year they went on their first tour.

On April 10, 2012 Beetles ' first album vitamin D has been published. It contains twelve songs. Two singles were released from it, Fully Blown (feat. Snak The Ripper ) and Evilution (feat. Jonathan Davis). Vitamin D was reacted favorably by critics.
