Daughtry (band)

Daughtry is an American post-grunge band, which was founded in 2006.

History

Your frontman Chris Daughtry was taken with four other musicians as a band in 2006 by RCA under contract after he had previously resigned in May of the year in the fifth season of the U.S. talent show American Idol in fourth place. The band is made, but since a long time and has not been altered in their composition.

For the debut album of some well-known music stars such as Brad Arnold of 3 Doors Down, Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty, Chad Kroeger of Nickelback, Slash from Guns N 'Roses as well as professional songwriter Max Martin and Dr. Luke also were recovered.

The debut album of the same title was published on 21 November 2006 and got off to a very good launch. It debuted at # 2 in the U.S. album charts. After five weeks, the plate got platinum with one million copies sold, reaching end of January 2007 even # 1 on the Billboard Top 200

The debut single It's Not Over likewise reached in January 2007, the top 10 singles chart. In addition, the song was used as the Winter Music Box sports broadcasts ARD.

The second album Leave This Town, was released on July 14, 2009. Daughtry With him were able to build on the success of the first album and once again reached # 1 on the Billboard Top 200 in the same year, the band also worked with Timbaland for the song Long Way Down on his album Shock Value II together.

In early 2010 they accompanied Nickelback as the opening act by Germany, Luxembourg and Switzerland. In October 2010, Daughtry again gave concerts in Germany. After two years break appeared on 18 November 2011, the album Break the Spell. In the fall of 2012, she accompanied Nickelback again as the opening act on the Here & Now Tour.
