David Walliams

David Walliams ( born August 20, 1971 in Surrey, as David Edward Williams ) is a British actor. He is best known for his collaboration with Matt Lucas on the TV series Little Britain.

Biography

David Walliams attended Reigate Grammar School and later was a member of the National Youth Theatre, where he met his future comedy partner Matt Lucas. He studied, just like Lucas, acting in Bristol.

His first television appearance was in 1993 in the show Games World. For the Doctor Who parodies The Pitch of Fear, The Web of Caves and The Kidnappers, he wrote texts and also stood in front of the camera. In 2003, he appeared in the television series EastEnders. In the film Shaun of the Dead, he played with along with Matt Lucas. In 2006 he published a documentary about James Bond.

In July 2006, David Walliams swam the English Channel for Sport Relief and collected as over half a million pounds for an orphanage in Ethiopia.

In November 2007, he starred in Stephen Poliakoff's Capturing Mary TV movie. For his performance as polite and dangerous manipulator he was praised by the critics.

2007 Walliams starred in Stardust alongside Claire Danes and Robert De Niro at the movies.

He signed a contract with the American publisher HarperCollins in early 2008. Kicker in the dress is his first children's book, which was published. It is about a boy who discovers his joy of cross-dressing. Was illustrated the book with black and white drawings by Quentin Blake. The book is aimed at children between 8 to 12 years.

The second book was published in November 2009 and is titled Allow, Mr Stink. Again, Quentin Blake illustrated the story. This is about a 12 -year-old girl, who granted a homeless asylum with him and hides him from her family.

There followed trillion Boy. The plot tells of the richest 12 year old in the world that is just not happy despite all the money.

Since 2009, Walliams is together and married since May 16, 2010 with model Lara Stone.

In October 2011, Walliams fourth book, Gangster Granny published. It's about Ben, who must spend the summer with his grandmother. He finds out that his grandmother in her youth was a famous jewel thief and it has still the exception to the British Crown Jewels.
