Denis Kulyash

Denis Vladislavovich Kuljasch (Russian Денис Владиславович Куляш; born May 31, 1983 in Omsk, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is under contract with Avangard Omsk in the HK Kontinental Hockey League since May 2013.

Career

Denis Kuljasch began his career as a hockey player in the third-class Perwaja league in which he was active for the second team Avangard Omsk of HK in the season 1999/2000. He then played in the following three seasons for their Liga rivals Gasowik Tyumen and ZSK WWS Samara. Then the defender received a contract with HK CSKA Moscow, for which he spent two years active in the Russian Super League. During this time he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2004 in the eighth round when a total 243 players from the Nashville Predators for which, however, he never played. In the summer of 2005, the links Sagittarius joined the Russian champions HK Dynamo Moscow, for whom he played two more seasons, and with whom he won the IIHF European Champions Cup in 2006. Between 2007 and 2010 Kuljasch stood again for his former club CSKA Moscow HK on the ice before he was discharged in January 2010 in exchange for two defenders at his hometown club, Avangard Omsk to HK.

In May 2011 Kuljasch was obliged by Ak Bars Kazan and absovlierte in the following two seasons 118 KHL games for the club, before he returned in May 2013 to his hometown club.

Internationally

For Russia Kuljasch participated in the 2006 World Cup.
