Dennis Young

Sir Dennis Charles Young ( born 1938 in London ) is a Papuan of New Guinea - politician.

Biography

Young began his political career with the election of the members of the meeting house ( House of Assembly ), the first time in 1982 to its speaker (Speaker of Parliament ) elected him.

Between 1987 and 1992 he was again Speaker of Parliament and in this capacity after the sudden death of Sir Ignatius Kilage from 31 December 1989 until 27 February 1990 and again after the resignation of Sir Serei Eri on 4 October 1991 to 11 November 1991 by virtue of office each acting Governor-General ( Acting Governor General ).

For his political achievements, he was beaten in 1999 knighted ( Knight) and has since been pursuing the additional name "Sir".
