Desiree Ficker

Desirée Ficker ( born December 9, 1976 in Potomac ) is an American triathlete and Ironman World runner-up (2006).

Career

Desirée Ficker was active in her youth as a runner, began in early 1999 with triathlon training and managed in the same year to qualify for the World Championship in Hawaii, where she finished second in her age group.

Since 2001, Ficker is active as a professional athlete and 2006 she made at the World Championships on the long- distance Ironman Hawaii ranks second behind the Australian Me Ellie Jones.

Desirée Ficker now lives in Austin.
