Dexter Blackstock
Dexter Anthony Titus Blackstock ( born May 20, 1986 in Oxford ) is an English footballer who plays for Nottingham Forest in March 2009.
Blackstock is to be the national player of Antigua and Barbuda.
Sports career
Southampton FC
Dexter Blackstock went through the youth teams of his home club Oxford United before moving to Southampton FC 2003. After he had celebrated an unexpectedly good start at his new club, the club's management decided nevertheless it initially for three months at Plymouth Argyle and then for two months at Derby County to borrow.
Queens Park Rangers
Since Blackstock could earn a regular place on his return to Southampton FC, he moved in August 2006 for about £ 500,000 to the Queens Park Rangers to London. In his new team to Blackstock could quickly mark as a regular player. Get him in the first season 14 goals and he thus attained 1st place in the internal association scorers list. 2007 Blackstock was called to the national team due to its good performance by the coach of the English U- 21 team Stuart Pearce. Nottingham Forest
In March, his change was on loan to second division promoted Nottingham Forest. By the end of the season convinced Blackstock the Forest Officer of his skills by scoring 2 goals in 6 games, and thus contributed to the relegation of his new team. As expected, he signed in July 2009 a four -year contract and moved for a seven-figure transfer fee to Nottingham Forest. In the Football League Championship 2009/10 scored Dexter Blackstock Nottingham in 41 league games and 13 goals thus became the second top scorer of his team behind Robert Earnshaw (34 Spiele/17 goals). After a very good performance, especially in the middle of the season, Blackstock could not preserve its good hit towards the end of the season. His team reached after a third place in the regular season, a place in the first play-off round. There, however, Forest failed in two games at Blackpool FC and thus missing out on promotion to the Premier League. After a good start to the season 2010/11 Blackstock injured 20 November 2010 heavy in the game against Cardiff City and came to the end of the season no longer be used.
On October 24, 2013 Blackstock moved due to lack of operating time on loan to league rivals Leeds United.
England and Antigua and Barbuda
Dexter Blackstock took part in the ongoing from 18th to July 29th 2005 U-19 Championship in Northern Ireland. As in second behind France England moved into the semi-finals. Blackstock scored in the final 3-2 group victory over Norway its first and only Turniertor. In the semifinals, Yugoslavia was waiting for the team to England and Blackstock was able to prevail 3-1 gates. Only in the final, the England team France was defeated with 1:3.
On February 29, 2012 Blackstock made his debut in the national team of Antigua and Barbuda.
