Didier Ya Konan

Didier Ya Konan ( May 22nd, 1984 in Abidjan ) is an Ivorian football player. The offensive player who can be used both as a midfielder and striker who made his debut in 2006 in the senior national team of the Ivory Coast. Since 2009 he has 96 active in the German Bundesliga with Hannover.
Career
Africa
Ya Konan began playing football at Olympic Sports Abobo. In 2003, he joined ASEC Mimosas from his hometown of Abidjan. With the club he won in the sequence several times the Ivorian league title and went on an international level in the African Champions League. He made outside the country's borders attention to themselves, particularly in the Champions League season 2006 when he won the semi-finals reached with the team to eventual winners Al- Ahly of Egypt and thereby together with Mohamed Abo Treka with eight goals as the best score in the competition distinguished. Then the Egyptian club offered $ 500,000 for the services of the offensive player, but declined the offer from the club because he wanted to make it to Europe.
Shortly before the end, he and his team-mate Bakary Soro invited for trials of Charlton Athletic. In addition, Ajax Amsterdam showed interest in the offensive player. A commitment was not reached, respectively.
Europe
Rosenborg Trondheim
In December 2006, undertook the multiple Norwegian national champion Rosenborg Trondheim Ya Konan. With his new club, who had with Abdou Razack Traoré a fellow countryman under contract, he received the back number "8". In the Tippeligaen he established himself as a regular player and helped the team to reach the group stage of the UEFA Champions League 2007 /08 in which it was used in five games. In the Tippeligaen season 2007 he was also on in 20 of the 26 season games and contributed six goals this season in reaching the fifth in rank. In the following season he was under coach Erik Hamrén to the permanent employees of the club, before he was used mainly in the first half of the 2009 only as a substitute and was once in the starting XI.
Hannover 96
On 11 August 2009 the German Bundesliga club Hannover 96 Ya Konan committed as reinforcement for weakened by many injured offensive. In the Lower Saxony club, he signed a three-year contract and received the back number "11". His first goal for Hannover 96, he scored 19 September 2009 in the 1-1 draw against Borussia Dortmund. In the season 2009/2010 he scored in 25 games, of which he played through 15, nine goals and also prepared five goals before. The importance for his team that season was clearly based on the following statistics: Hannover 96 brought in the 25 games in which Ya Konan was used, a total of 33 points; for the remaining nine games without Ya Konan the team could not achieve a single point.
In the season 2010/11 Ya Konan scored 14 goals in 25 games and prepared six more ago. On 17 December 2010 Ya Konan extended his contract until 2014. The Lower Saxony sports journalists chose Ya Konan in the spring of 2011 in Lower Saxony Footballer of the Year. In the 2011/12 season success can be in the club for something he no longer belongs to the regular starting eleven and no longer meets regularly, but will be replaced, at least in almost every game. With the quarter-finals of the Europa League 2011/12 he scored a new personal success at the European level with his club. In the 2012/13 season, his position was similar, he no longer has a regular place, but was more or less regularly placed or loaded, but this mid-season showed a positive change; he was back to his old form and was more and more often in the starting XI, but in the right midfield.
National
Ya Konan was also the first recognition of his services in October 2006 in a 5-0 win over the Gabon national team in the national team of his country and was honored as Player of the Year of the 1ère Division. In addition, we nominated him in the same year for the award for the Ivorian Player of the Year, which ultimately received his compatriot Didier Drogba.
At the Africa Cup 2012 Ya Konan came in three games for use and was with his team vice African champion. In 2013 he was again in the squad of the Ivorians for this competition and reached with his team the quarterfinals.

Ya Konan, who is called in his environment only " Didi ", has been married since end of December 2007 with Edwige. March 8, 2012 their daughter was born.
