Disaster Transport

Disaster Transport at Cedar Point ( Sandusky, Ohio, United States) was a steel roller coaster model from Swiss Bob the manufacturer Intamin, which was opened on 11 May 1985 as Avalanche Run. On 29 July 2012, the plant was shut down and started with the demolition to make room for the roller coaster gatekeeper, which was opened in May 2013.

From 1985 to 1989 she sailed as Avalanche Run outdoors. Between the seasons 1989 and 1990, a building was built around them, so that they - renamed transport in disaster - from then drove in the dark. For this, the train was equipped with special effects and space theming of ITEC Productions. The whole theming amounted to a cost of 4 million U.S. dollars. The equipment of the railway also included large-screen video projections, simulated laser and over 150 props, including two life-like robots.

Disaster Transport had five cars. In each car could ten people ( five rows of two people) take place.
