The Disney Dream ( Dream dt ) is a post-Panamax cruise ship in the American shipping company Disney Cruise Line. She is the first ship that was built by the shipping company at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg (Emsland). With a length of almost 340 meters and a survey of about 130,000 gross tonnage, the Disney Dream was the largest built in Germany cruise ship at delivery in December 2010.

History

On 24 April 2007, the Disney Cruise Line ordered the two post-Panamax cruise ships Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy at the Meyer shipyard in Papenburg. On 2 March 2009, the cut of the shipbuilding steel and the end of August of the same year began the keel laying took place. Technology

Special

The appearance of the ship based on passenger liners of the 1930s and has both design elements of Art Deco as well as elements from the world of Disney on. The hull is black, white superstructure with two red chimneys.
