The Diyarbakir Airport ( Turkish Havalimanı Diyarbakir, Kurdish: Balafirgeha Amedé or Firokexaneya Amedé ) is a Turkish airport immediately southwest of the city of Diyarbakir in the southeast of the country. It is operated by the State DHMI.

The airport was originally built in 1952 and is still in operation after several renovations and is used by the military and civil. He has one terminal with a capacity of 1,450,000 passengers per year and a paved airstrip, but no instrument flight landing system (ILS ) has. The apron has a size of 165 × 155 meters and can accommodate three airliners. For passengers a terminal with a size of 2680 square feet is available.

The associated therewith city Diyarbakir is about three to six kilometers away. They can be reached by taxi, private car or airport on the highway D -950. Front of the terminal there is a parking lot for 200 cars.

In scheduled air transport of Diyarbakir airport is regularly connected by the airlines Pegasus Airlines, Turkish Airlines and further with a number of airports in Turkey, Turkish Airlines is responsible for about 75 percent of the passengers. In the flight plan of the two airlines are available from Diyarbakir, the two airports of Istanbul, Ataturk and Sabiha Gökçen, the airport of Ankara and, although little frequented, the airport of the city of Adana.
