Dmitriy Tarabin

Dmitry Sergeyevich Tarabin (Russian Дмитрий Сергеевич Тарабин, English transcription Dmitriy Tarabin, . Born 29 October 1991 in Berlin ) is a Russian javelin thrower.

As the son of an officer, he spent his early years in Germany. When he was six years old, his family moved to Transnistria. From early on, he had tried his hand at a number of sports and was particularly successful in baseball. His talent to be able to throw balls very far, led him to the javelin.

At the Track Team Championships 2009, he won for Moldova in the third division. As a dual Moldovan - Russian citizen, he decided after he started a sports studies after leaving school in Moscow, in the future to start for Russia.

From 10 July 2010, he was allowed to start for Russia, and soon after he won the bronze medal at the Junior World Championships in Monckton.

In 2011 he was third in the U23 European Championships in Ostrava and tenth at the World Athletics Championships in Daegu.
