Dolní Tošanovice

Dolni Tošanovice (Polish Toszonowice Dolne German Lower Toschonowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located ten kilometers east of Frýdek- Místek and belongs to Okres Frýdek- Místek.

Geography

The scattered settlement Dolni Tošanovice is located on a ridge between the rivers Lučina and Stonávka in Beskidenvorland in Silesia. In the village rises the brook Tošanůvka. To the north lies the dam Žermanice.

Neighboring towns are Vidíkov and Dolni Domaslavice in the north, and Mušalec Třanovice in the northeast, Horni Tošanovice in the east, Lesní Dvůr to the southeast, and Šprochovice Dobratice in the south, Nošovice in the southwest, and Vojkovice Podlesí in the west and Horni Domaslavice in the northwest.

History

The village was laid out in 1305, dates from this time also the festivals. Since 1723 the site uses a seal. The inhabitants lived predominate on agriculture, some worked as an ironworker.

After the abolition of patrimonial low Toschonowitz formed in 1850 a municipality in the district of Teschen. From 1920, the village belonged to the district Český Těšín. From 1939 to 1945 Lower Toschonowitz belonged to the district of Teschen and came back after the war with Czechoslovakia. To the owners of the goods Dolni dvůr and Lesní dvůr the family belonged Chlumský which comes also the surgeon Vítězslav Chlumský ( 1867-1943 ). In 1948, the large estates of the Chlumský was nationalized and assigned to the state farm Český Těšín.

1955 was the community of 160 houses and had 784 inhabitants. On January 1, 1956, the settlements were Závadovice ( to Dolni Domaslavice ) Šprochovice and Podlesí outsourced ( to Dobratice ) from the community, thus, the population dropped to 300 in the late 1950s built a school in town. After the dissolution of Okres Český Těšín the place came with the beginning of 1961 to Okres Frýdek- Místek. In 1980, Dolni Tošanovice was incorporated into Hnojník, since 1990, the municipality is again.

The state farms were privatized in 1989 and since then operate as TOZOS zemědělský podnik sro The inhabitants belong to 93.7 % of Czech nationality, in addition there are small minorities of Poles, Slovaks and Germans.

For the municipality of Dolni Tošanovice no districts are reported. At Dolni Tošanovice include the outlying goods Dolni dvůr ( Niederhofstraße ) and Lesní dvůr ( Waldhof ).

Attractions

  • Castle Dolni Tošanovice, the end of the 19th century, built for the family of Mattencloit building in the Empire style built on the site of the festivities. In 1933 was rebuilt to a pompous villa. The castle is located north out of town.
