Dominican Republic national football team

The Dominican national football team is the national football team of the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean. It belongs to the national teams of the CONCACAF continental federation.

World Cup Qualifiers

As part of the qualification for the World Cup 2010 in South Africa, the team met in the first round of the CONCACAF region to the national team of Puerto Rico, but lost in the only game 0-1 after extra time and was excreted with it.

The most famous player is José Elpys Espinal, who is at the moment at KAS Eupen under contract. His twin brother Edwards Vinicio plays in Italy at FC Pro Vercelli in the Italian second division. Both have next to the Dominican and Italian citizenship.
