Dorothee Mields

Dorothee Mields ( born April 15, 1971) is a German soprano and Baroque musician.

Life

Dorothee Mields has parents and Bessarabian German origin. She studied at the University of the Arts in Bremen at Harry van der Kamp, Elke Holzmann and Gabriele terror creek. Later she continued her studies with Julia Hamari (1994-1998) and Richetta Manager (2006 -present).

They dedicated their work to the music of the 17th and 18th centuries, but also occurs with contemporary music. She works regularly with Ludger Rémy, Collegium Vocale Gent, Bach Collegium Japan, the Nederlandse Bachvereniging, the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra, Freiburg Baroque Orchestra and others.

Dorothee Mields taught from 2001-2003 at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar

Important recordings

Her recording of the Gellert Oden by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach ( with Ludger Rémy on fortepiano) was from the magazine Le Monde de la Musique with a " Choc " award.
