Drösing is a market town with 1130 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district Gaenserndorf in Lower Austria.

Geography

Drösing is located on the eastern edge of the wine district, in March and thus on the border with Slovakia in Lower Austria. The area of ​​the municipality covers 29.49 square kilometers. 25.7 percent of the area is forested.

History

For the purpose of construction of a new church gave " to Drezzing Hofmarch " in a document, in the Leuthold Kuenring of his subjects to his Drösing in 1293, Drösing is already designated as market.
