Droyßiger-Zeitzer Forst
The community association Droyßiger - Zeitz forest in Burgenland district, in Saxony -Anhalt was formed on 1 January 2010. Forerunner of the municipality was the administrative community Droyßiger - Zeitz forest. As member communities of unitary councils in Saxony -Anhalt must have at least 1,000 inhabitants and their number is limited to eight, there was the same day the following changes:
- Merger of the municipalities Bergisdorf (419 inhabitants), Droßdorf ( 694 inhabitants ), Heuckewalde (434 inhabitants) and Schell Bach ( 492 inhabitants) to the new community Guteborn ( 2,039 inhabitants)
- Merger of the municipalities Bröckau ( 378 inhabitants) and Wittgendorf (664 inhabitants) to the new community Schnaudertal ( 1,042 inhabitants)
- Merger of the municipalities of Breitenbach (305 inhabitants), Haynsburg ( 539 inhabitants) and Wetterzeube ( 1,101 inhabitants) on the new community Wetterzeube ( 1,945 inhabitants)
- Merger of the municipalities Droyßig ( 1,774 inhabitants) and Weissenborn ( 363 inhabitants) to the new community Droyßig ( 2,137 inhabitants)
- Merger of the municipalities Döschwitz ( 824 inhabitants), Grana ( 741 inhabitants) and Kretzschau ( 1,276 inhabitants) on the new community Kretzschau ( 2,841 inhabitants)
The population figures given are based on the date of December 31, 2008.
Geography
The municipality is situated on the White Elster.

Traffic
Through the association of municipalities lead the federal highways 2 and 180 In addition, the stations Haynsburg and Wetterzeube lie on the railway Leipzig -Gera -Saalfeld.
