Duncan Siemens

Duncan Siemens ( born September 7, 1993, Sherwood Park, Alberta ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who plays on the position of the defender for the Saskatoon Blades of the Western Hockey League since 2009.

Career

Duncan Siemens played in the season 2007/ 08 for the Sherwood Park Flyers, a junior team his hometown, in the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League. In the season 2008/ 09 he went for the Sherwood Park Kings, another junior team his hometown, in the Alberta Midget Hockey League on the ice. Previously, he was selected in the Bantam Draft of the Western Hockey League, a talent drawing similar to the NHL Entry Draft, from the Saskatoon Blades at third position overall. The defender completed 34 games for the Kings in the regular season and came late in the 2008 /09 WHL season, along with two inserts for the Blades in the Western Hockey League.

From the season 2009/10 Siemens belonged to the tribe of the squad Saskatoon Blades. The Canadians completed 57 games in the regular season, scoring three goals and 17 assists. In the subsequent play-offs the Blades won the first round after a 4-0 sweep against the Red Deer Rebels. In the second round, the Eastern Conference semi-final, subject to the Brandon Wheat Kings Blades with 2:4 games. Siemens came in seven playoff games for use and remained without point scorer.

The following season he played with Stefan Elliott in a defensive line.
