Dziekanstwo, Polish Dziekaństwo, is a town in Upper Silesia in the community Comprachtschütz in powiat Opolski in the Opole Voivodeship.

History

The place was first mentioned around 1531.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 voted 52 voters to remain in Germany and 51 for Poland. Dziekanstwo remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived 231 inhabitants in the village. On April 28, 1936, the town was renamed in Dean Village. 1939, the place had 244 inhabitants. By 1945, the place was in the district of Opole.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Dziekaństwo and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place to re-founded powiat Opolski. On 4 June 2009 the Dziekanstwo was in the community Comprachtschütz, belongs, introduced German as a second official language on 1 December 2009 was the place in addition to the official German names Dziekanstwo.
