Eggersriet

Eggersriet is a municipality in the canton of St. Gallen in Switzerland.

Geography

Eggersriet is slightly above and to the east of the canton of St. Gallen main town on the route between St. Gallen and nations, and consists of the villages Eggersriet and the St. Gallen Grub. Neighboring communities in the West St. Gallen, in the north under harrows and Rorschacherberg, in the east Lutz Mountain and Gentiles, to the south Grub AR, Rehetobel and memory.

Traffic

Eggersriet is connected by a road through the Gorge with Martin St. Gallen. This leads on the Appenzellische Grub continue to Heiden. On this route reversed from 1871 to 1874 and again from 1896 regularly a stagecoach. This was established in 1920 by the still existing Postbus St. Gallen - replaced Gentiles. Through this now -developed transport links to the canton capital is Eggersriet developed in the 1970s into a residential community with many commuters.
