Eisblume

Eisblume is a German pop rock band from Berlin. It consists of the singer Sotiria " Ria " Schenk ( * 1987 in Berlin) and Golo Schultz (keyboard ), Philipp Schardt (bass ), Philipp Schade Brodt (drums) and Benny Baumann ( guitar).

History

In summer 2008 the band was the opening act at some concerts by Ich Ich.

On January 16, published in 2009, accompanied by an animated music video, the ballad ice flowers, a cover version of the title of Subway to Sally in 2005 on the label B1 Recordings (Universal Music). The album was produced by Ingo Politz ( Valicon ).

Eisblumes debut album Under the ice appeared on March 6, 2009 to be at B1 Recordings (Universal Music). The video for frost flowers, produced by the Stockholm Film Production cactus film was nominated for an ECHO in the category " Best Video National ". The TV channel VIVA supports the group in the context of the " Artists Development" with a "comprehensive media promotion ".

In early March 2010 it was announced that the band with the French singer Jena Lee collaborates to publish a French-language version of the song Eisblumen under the title Fleurs de glace ( ice flowers ).

End of January 2012, the first single released for ever for their second album. The title uses the melody of River Flows in You by the Korean pianist Yiruma. Singles

The collaboration with Michael soil, also known as Bodenski, from the folk metal band Subway to Sally arose by chance, according to his own statement. Sotiria Schenk heard the original version of frost patterns on an event after soil received the request for a permit for a cover, he also wrote the text for the song Under the Ice. I have to let it protect my name as a brand unfortunately failed. Of course, there will be confusion. So far I could not bring myself to a name change ... "
