Icebreaker is the title of the published on 24 November 1986 last studio album of the German band Nena. Singer Nena then launched a successful solo career.

Genesis

Even before the recording of the album, the band Nena Eisbrecher had separated from their manager Jim rocket and also waived the assistance of the two Spliff musicians Reinhold Heil and Manfred Praeker, who had previously taken care of production and arrangement of Nena albums. The band worked on this album with Alan Goldberg and Tom Muiel, also Klaus Voormann was hired, who produced the album along with the band. It was recorded in Lark Studio in Italy and at Hartmann Digital in Untertrubach. The mix took Jürgen Koppers at Paradise Studio in Munich.

The album was released on 24 November 1986. Shortly after, the band broke up. The album reached number 45 of the German album charts.
