Eisbrecher is a German rock band, which is usually attributed to the New German hardness.

History

After the singer and writer Alexander " Alexx " Wesselsky 2003 due to artistic differences of the band Megaherz separated (which he had started in 1993 ), he founded together with DJ and ex-member of Megaherz Jochen Seibert aka Noel Pix, the band Eisbrecher. The band caused a stir with their debut album icebreaker because they beilegte as an incentive for copying the album two blank CDs. The purpose of their action was to protest against the criminalization of consumers through the music industry.

In summer 2006, published icebreaker two new singles and a second album antibodies. The album reached number 85 on the German album charts.
