Ellmauer Tor

The Ellmau Tor is a nearly 2,000 -meter-high rock saddle in the middle of the Kaiser mountains in Tyrol. It is the deepest dip in the main ridge of Wilder Kaiser between the Eastern Emperor with the Ackerlspitze and the central emperor with the Ellmau maintenance. Because a much used crossing over the Ellmau gate leads with its unique setting, it is often referred to as the heart of the Emperor. From the south, about Ellmau Going or seen, it forms the distinctive notch in the Kaiser Mountains between Karlspitzen and Goinger maintenance.

Routes

The Ellmau gate is the most important and most frequently used transition in the Wilder Kaiser. On nice summer days, many hikers are on their way here. The most famous trail from the north, from Stripsenjochhaus by the stone trough for Ellmau goal.
