Elmbridge

Elmbridge is a local government district with the status of a borough in the county of Surrey in England, which borders to the northeast of Greater London. Council is based in Esher; significant sights are Hersham, Molesey, Thames Ditton, Walton-on -Thames and Weybridge. With Rueil -Malmaison in France is twinned.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the Urban District Esher and Walton and Weybridge. It is named after Elmbridge Hundred, an old administrative unit of the county of Surrey.
