Elon Gold
Elon Gold ( born September 14, 1970 in Bronx, New York City ) is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter and producer.
Biography
Gold attended the Westchester Day School in Mamaroneck and the Marsha Stern Talmudical Academy / Yeshiva University High School for Boys in New York. Before his studies at Boston University, he began a career as a stand - up comedian, where he focused star on the mimic well-known personalities such as Charles Grodin and Howard. This earned him, among others, an appearance on the Howard Stern show. In the MTV Comedy Half- Hour Comedy Hour show he had on the side of Chris Rock, Ray Romano and Drew Carey first major appearance.
After he graduated cum laude in Economics, he continued his career as a comedian and stepped on, inter alia, the International Comedy Festival Juste pour rire in Montreal.
In 1994 he made his first television appearance in the short-lived sketch show She TV. The series was indeed referred to by Time Magazine as one of the best shows of the year and was nominated for an Emmy, but discontinued after only 8 episodes.
He had greater success in 1996 with the Dana Carvey Show, where he was one of the main cast.
In 2000, he co-wrote with his longtime friend and collaborator Ari Schiffer the screenplay for Good as Gold, a pilot episode with Mary Tyler Moore, but this was not continued as a series.
His stand-up program, he worked from a television series that aired from 2002 to 2003 under the title My wife, her father and I, and where he also worked as a producer. The action was based on his experience, with his in-laws to live under one roof but also took bonds in the successful film comedy My bride, her father and me.
As an actor Elon Gold came only with minor appearances in film and television in appearance, so he played the second camera man in the comedy Cheaper by the Dozen, and had guest appearances in the series Chappelle 's Show, and Frasier. Elon Gold is the older brother of RnB singer Ari Gold and the younger brother of Steven Gold, the keyboardist of the pop group The Fountains of Wayne. He lives with his wife and son in New York and Los Angeles.
