Elton (comedian)

Elton ( born April 2, 1971 in West Berlin; civil Alexander Duszat ) is a German television presenter. His stage name is due to the physical resemblance with Elton John.

Life

Alexander Duszat was born in West Berlin, where he lived until his 5th year. After his family moved to Hamburg and then to York. He attended secondary school and then high school Halepaghen School Buxtehude in York. He later trained as a radio and television technician.

Duszat is married since November 2003 and has two children.

He enters the public to exclusively by his stage name Elton.

Career

After an internship in the music and sports editors at the delta radio in Kiel Duszat joined as a volunteer for regional TV Hamburg 1 He hosted there different programs (including the number of Elton Street), where he first appeared with the stage name " Elton ".

Since February 6, 2001 Elton occurs as a show intern at TV in total. He is the sidekick of Stefan Raab and moderated occasionally independent contributions. In the quiz Shame or Cash at TV total and Schlag den Raab Elton has worked as a presenter. Elton, also referred to as a " protégé " of Raab, also is a regular guest at all the TV -total- special programs, especially at the Poker Nights, where he also usually participates as a candidate.

Duszat was 2006 FIFI Wild Cup patron of. According to information, he was also "alternative football world champions " since he starred in a game of the tournament in the national football team of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, which won the Cup at the end.

Elton published in 2008 and 2010 to a song on the occasion of the European Football Championship and the World Cup. He was accompanied by the rock band Peilomat both occasions. He is a fan of FC St. Pauli and has participated with the all-star team of the club at several charity games in favor of charitable purposes, including in the series kicking with heart to the team of FC St. Pauli Allstars against the doctors team of the University Hospital Eppendorf, as against the Nivea Kickers. With Fettes Brot, Tim maltsters and Heinz Strunk he supported the St. Pauli drinking water initiative Viva con Agua. Elton represented the FC St. Pauli also also at various events such as the German Eisfußball Cup 2009.

Since 16 October 2010, he hosted the children's show 1, 2 or 3 About a casting ZDF had been looking for a replacement for Daniel Fischer and finally decided to Elton as new moderator. Currently, he moderates among other things, the show " Elton gambles live". He was host of the show Millionaire choice of which, however, was discontinued due to poor ratings.
