Emilian Dobrescu

Emilian Dobrescu ( May 22nd 1933, Bucharest ) is a Romanian economist and chess composer.

Life

Emilian Dobrescus father was a painter, his mother a textile worker. Since 1959, he is married to Eugenia Viorica who has a doctorate in chemistry. Her daughter Adina is an architect.

Dobrescu studied from 1951 to 1956 at the Faculty of Economics of the Moscow State University, received his doctorate in 1963 and is a member of the Romanian Academy. He has published more than 100 scientific papers and books.

Chess composition

His main field of activity are the studies. In subsequent work, he was able to construct a perpetual Plachutta.
