Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor (born 26 February 1984 in Lomé ) is a Togolese football player of Nigerian descent to the position of a striker.

Career

Association

FC Metz

Adebayor's career began in his native Togo Lome at CDS, before he was discovered in 1999 at a youth tournament in Sweden by scouts of the French first division club FC Metz. For the 2009/10 season Adebayor joined Manchester City, where he received a five-year contract.

Real Madrid

In January 2011, Adebayor joined on loan until end of season to Real Madrid; Real addition possessed a purchase option for the Togolese striker. His debut for Real, he completed on 31 January 2011 against CA Osasuna. On 2 February 2011, he scored the first goal for his new club in the cup game against FC Sevilla and Real Madrid brought with it the final against FC Barcelona. Tottenham Hotspur

In August 2011, Adebayor joined on loan to Tottenham Hotspur. After his first season with 17 goals in 33 appearances, he was finally obliged established in August 2012.

National

In qualifying for the FIFA World Cup 2006 Adebayor, son scored Nigerian parents, eleven of the 20 matches of Togo and had thus a large share of first place in Group A, which authorized his home country for first-time World Cup.
