Emmanuelle Seigner

Emmanuelle Seigner ( born June 22, 1966 in Paris ) is a French actress and musician.

Life

Seigner comes from an acting dynasty. Her grandfather was the highly respected in France Louis Seigner (1903-1991), doyen of the Comédie Française. Her father was a photographer, her mother a journalist. Her sisters are actress Mathilde Seigner and the singer Marie- Amélie Seigner. At fourteen, she began working as a model until she made her breakthrough as an actress with Frantic. Another success was Bitter Moon from 1992, where she appeared opposite Hugh Grant and Kristin Scott Thomas. In the movie The Ninth Gate in 1999 she starred opposite Johnny Depp. In 2005, she embodied in Backstage a singer, where she sang all the songs himself. The film character is strongly reminiscent of the French artist Mylène Farmer.

Published in 2007 Seigner an LP with the band Ultra Orange & Emmanuelle project. In addition, she has been heard in 2008 as a guest vocalist on the second solo album Wilderness by Brett Anderson in the title Back To You, which appeared as a single in England. In 2009 she took with Bela B. of the German band Die Ärzte the song "Love and Gasoline " for his solo album code B on. 2010 released her solo album Dingue ( inter alia with Iggy Pop and Roman Polanski ). In 2011 she sang with Brigitte Fontaine " dressing " for their album L' un l' autre pas n'empêche.

Seigner is married to Roman Polanski since 1989 and has two children with him.
