Career

Miller's man celebrated his first major success at the European Junior Championships 1983 until 1985. He started in single-seaters and together with Erwin Antholz also in the doubles. In 1983 he won in Montreux bronze in doubles, but remained in the single-seater in fourth just behind the medals. 1984 in Holland and 1985 in Oberperfuss he won both times, both in single-seaters and the doubles gold medal and became four times European junior champion.

In the general class miller's man started only in the single-seater. His first title fight was the European Championship 1987 in Jesenice, where he took third place behind his fellow countrymen Manfred graves and Harald Steinhauser. Two years later, however, he had to settle for eleventh place at the European Championships 1989 in Garmisch -Partenkirchen. At the European Championships in 1991 in Fiè miller's man was only beaten by his team-mate Franz Obrist and won the silver medal. The next winter, however, he went on his first world championship in 1992 in Bad Goisern only in twelfth place and at the European Championships in 1993 in Stein an der Enns he did not finish. In 1994, he again succeeded the jump at the World Championships in Gsies on the podium when he won the bronze medal behind Gerhard Pilz and Franz Obrist.

In the world cup miller's man reached in the first season 1992/1993 with a win in the last race in Bruck an der Grossglockner road in third place in the overall World Cup single-seater. The next winter he won the season opener at Fie, reached in the other four races, three second places and was thus equal on points with Franz Obrist Overall World Cup winner in the single-seater. With this success miller's man ended his career.
